The The Asia Foundation invites applications for the 2025 William P. Fuller Fellowship — a prestigious and fully funded program tailored for early- to mid-career professionals dedicated to peacebuilding and social change.
What Is the Fellowship
Established in 2004 in honor of William P. Fuller, former president of The Asia Foundation.
Designed for individuals committed to peace, security, community development, and conflict-resolution efforts at the grassroots or national level.
Targets early- to mid‑career professionals demonstrating strong leadership and innovative thinking in peacebuilding fields.
What the Fellowship Offers
🎓 Fully funded U.S. study tour (October 13–24, 2025) — visits to San Francisco, New York, and Washington, D.C.
💻 Virtual training & capacity-building through The Asia Foundation’s Peace & Stability and Leadership Exchange programs.
💼 Professional development grant to support personal projects or community peace initiatives.
🌐 Membership in a global network of Asia-Pacific peacebuilders — creating long-term regional and international connections.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet all the following criteria:
Citizen of one of the eligible Asia‑Pacific countries — including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor‑Leste, or Vietnam.
Aged 40 or younger (born after October 13, 1985).
Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, advocacy, policy reform, community organizing, or related fields.
Demonstrated leadership and commitment to positive community transformation.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Available to attend the full U.S. program (October 13–24, 2025).
Eligible and willing to obtain a U.S. visa for the tour.
